      Any Korean national aged 34 years and under as of December 19, 2022 is eligible to apply.

      Submit up to three illustrations of design work or design concept
      * JPG files less than 2 MB, minimum 1,000px width
  • How to applyOfficial Website
    Online application is available via the official website for the 1st round evaluation. Qualified applicants will be asked to submit a prototype for the 2nd round evaluation.

Evaluation Process

All submitted works will be reviewed according to the following criteria, regardless of category.

  • Creativity

    Does the project offer a new solution to a problem in a creative and simple approach?
  • Aesthetic

    Does the project consider and incorporate beauty that is relevant and/or functional?
  • Relevance

    How is this year's theme reflected and expressed through the project?
  • Impact

    Is the design commercially viable and/or able to bring positive impact to the society that contributes to driving a bigger social engagement?

1. Depending on the COVID–19 Safety Guidelines, Design trip to Sweden and visiting to the IKEA of Sweden in Almhult can be an alternative award option equivalent to Prize money

Notice
  • A work may be excluded from judgment or an award may be canceled if a work submitted is applied to the other competition or organization after the work has been selected, plagiarized, infringe on the copyright of other works, won a prize at the other contest or is duplicated. The intellectual property rights of the submitted designs are kept with the applicant.
  • The applicant is responsible for all intellectual property disputes cause by the submitted design. Participants are not allowed to request for withdrawal and return of entries until the pre-competition schedule is completed. Finalists shall allow organizer to use the work to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose and objective of the award.
  • Introduction file and submitted works can be modified until the end of the application period. It is recommended to complete the application in advance, as the system may be slow on the last day of application due to high traffic.
